Next time you receive a lengthy voice message on your iPhone, try this useful trick. You’ll find it much easier to listen to and navigate through the message using a hidden feature that opens up a dedicated audio player within the Messages app.
How to Open Audio/Voice Message Player in Messages on iPhone
This is a helpful tip if you regularly send or receive voice messages:
Launch the Messages conversation containing the audio message
Press and hold the audio message you wish to play
When the Quick Look preview appears, tap it again to launch the full audio message player
Now you can play the message and use the scrub bar at the bottom to move forward or backward through the recording
Tap Done once you're finished to return to the Messages view
This voice message player works with any audio message on your iPhone or iPad—just be sure to long-press the message until you bypass the initial Tapback menu.
