Zorin OS Pro 17.2 expands hyper-customization options

Open source Linux distro Zorin OS has taken its theming capabilities to the next level in version 17.2. Known for its ability to impersonate your favorite OS, Zorin OS is focused on providing ease of use for users just getting started with Linux. Whether you use Chrome OS, Mac OS, or Windows, Zorin OS has an appearance option that will help you get acquainted with the distro in a familiar way.
In the 17.2 update, the Zorin team has included many user suggested features. Users now have access to additional theming options for open windows, cursors, scrollbars, and more through third-party themes. Zorin OS also provides extensive documentation for users that encounter issues while adjusting their settings.
For users freshly installing Zorin OS 17.2, all of the apps included in the installation are fully up to date to provide a feature-rich installation from the first boot. Notability: The LibreOffice 24.8 suite is included to help Zorin OS stand out as an alternative for users coming from Windows for work. Flatpak, AppImage, and Snap packages are all supported from the start to ensure everything stays up to date.
Keeping apps up to date is especially important for Zorin OS Pro users, who have access to a curated collection of software meant to maximize the OS's capabilities. Pro features include professional creator-focused software, productivity software, and premium desktop layouts. For $47.99, Zorin OS Pro is said to be "bundled with alternatives to over $5,000 of professional software."
Finally, both versions of Zorin OS 17.2 now use Linux Kernel 6.8.0 and include updated drivers to support newer processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. Kernel updates generally include security updates, but Zorin OS takes it a step further and promises software and security updates for Zorin OS 17 until June 2027.
