Previously, many users reported on the Internet that their iPhones would automatically shut down at night while charging, resulting in only seeing the password input interface when they got up in the morning. The good news, however, is that this problem may soon be resolved.
According to reports from MacRumors, Apple is internally testing the iOS 17.1.1 update. By analyzing the iOS log files, we can see that this update is mainly focused on fixing bugs in the existing version. Although the specific problems that have been fixed are unclear, the media predicts that iOS 17.1.1 will contain the fixes in the iOS 17.2 Beta 1 update, such as fixing Wi-Fi connection problems and automatic shutdown problems at night.
Apple previously promised that issues affecting iPhone 15 series phones and BMW wireless charging would be fixed in an upcoming update. However, it’s unclear whether this fix will be included in the iOS 17.1.1 release, and it remains to be seen.
iOS 17.1.1 will be a temporary solution as iOS 17.2 is still in beta testing and is expected to be released in December.
While there’s no firm word yet on when iOS 17.1.1 will be released to the public, based on our best guess, we expect the update to be released within the next one to two weeks roll out. Once the update is released, the problem of Apple's iPhone automatically shutting down at night is expected to be solved.
