Monster Hunter Wilds continues its post-launch support with Title Update 2, which has been released alongside some new event and challenge quests to tackle, including the arena challenge quest Fleeting Bubbles. This quest will have you taking on a Mizutsune in the arena using a fixed set of gear.
Depending on how fast you clear the quest, you'll be awarded with Mizutsune-themed pendants that you can attach to your weapon. Below, we'll take a look at everything you need to know about this quest, including how long it's available for, what each loadout includes, and what the pendant rewards look like.

Quest Details
In Fleeting Bubbles, you will have to hunt a Mizutsune in the arena with a fixed loadout, which you'll choose among three different options. Using one of these loadouts, you'll be ranked according to the time it takes you to hunt the monster, and you'll get rewards depending on how well you do.
Here are each of the loadouts you can choose from.
Set A | Set B | Set C | |
---|---|---|---|
Weapons | Sword and Shield - Hana no Nagoriwo I | Dual Blades - Chthonian Kusarigamas II | Hammer - Rompo Wrecker II |
Armor | G. Ebony Helm beta | Rathalos Helm alpha | Commission Helm alpha |
Items | Potion x10 | Potion x10 | Potion x10 |
Without taking skill into account, Set B is the best of the group for completing this quest in under four and a half minutes due to the strong Gunlance. That said, if you aren't familiar with the Gunlance, one of the other sets may be better for you, especially if you're more familiar with the Sword and Shield or Hammer, for instance.
Regardless, it's possible to clear the requirements for an A-Rank with any of these three sets, so keep trying with the one you're most comfortable with until you get it. As the quest name implies, these are meant to be challenging, so it may take a few tries to get the hunt down.
Quest Rewards
You will be rewarded differently depending on how fast you complete this quest.
- A Rank 4'30''00 - Mizutsune: Mark of Mastery pendant
- B Rank 8'00"00 - Mizutsune: Mark of Bravery pendant
- C Rank 50'00"00 - Mizutsune: Mark of Contest pendant
These rewards will be distributed around one to two weeks after the event has concluded, so expect them around late July to early August.
