In a refreshing change from other recent characters, a good ZZZ Ju Fufu build is more flexible and even includes an F2P W-Engine. Ju Fufu is an excellent stun character who benefits any party thanks to her built-in, team-wide buffs, and she doesn't have to do much to make it happen except have high attack.

Zenless Zone Zero Ju Fufu W-Engines

Unlike quite a few recent ZZZ characters, Ju Fufu has several viable W-Engine options to pick from that aren't her signature. Her signature, Roaring Fur-nace is good, of course. It has attack as its secondary stat, which is unusual for stun engines, but suits Ju Fufu's core passive very well, since she needs attack higher than 2,800 to push her crit damage support up. It also increases daze from EX Special attacks, which is where most of Ju Fufu's stun potential comes from, and buffs the party's damage by 10 percent when the equipping character deals fire damage with their chain attack or ultimate, something else Ju Fufu will be doing a lot of. That effect stacks twice.

Another useful S-rank choice – and one you can pick for free while ZZZ's 2.0 anniversary celebrations are ongoing – is Hellfire Gears. It's Koleda's signature, but it works very well for Ju Fufu. Hellfire Gears increases the equipping character's energy regen by 0.6 per second while they're off-field, and Ju Fufu is primarily an off-field character. It also raises impact by 10 percent when they use their EX Special.

Lighter's Blazing Laurel is another handy option, but only if you're using Ju Fufu in teams with ice or other fire characters, as it raises crit damage from fire and ice agents.

A much easier-to-obtain weapon that works very well for Ju Fufu is Precious Fossiziled Core, an A-rank engine that you can buy using Dennies from the Box Galaxy store on Sixth Street. Precious Fossilized Core has Impact as its secondary stat, and it increases the equipping character's daze damage when a target's HP is above 50 percent and then again when it's above 75 percent. It's an excellent way to stun boss enemies and deal heavy damage early in a fight, and since you can purchase copies of it from the store without spending real money, you can get its max bonus quickly.

Zenless Zone Zero Ju Fufu Drive Discs

Ju Fufu's best Drive Disc set – and the new best for most stun agents, really – is King of the Summit.

• Two-piece effect: Increases daze by six percent
• Four-piece effect: When the equipping character is a stun agent and uses an EX Special or chain attack, all party members' crit damage increases by 15 percent. If the equipping character's crit rate is 50 percent or higher, the crit damage bonus increases by a further 15 percent for 15 seconds

For parties that aren't built around crit damage, your best choice is Swing Jazz, which leans into Ju Fufu's potential as a stun-support hybrid.

• Two-piece effect: Increases energy regeneration by 20 percent
• Four-piece effect: Using a chain attack or ultimate increases the party's damage by 15 percent for 12 seconds

For the remaining two pieces, you could use Woodpecker Electro to help get her crit rate to that 50 percent mark or Shockstar Disco for an extra six percent Impact.

Zenless Zone Zero Ju Fufu stats

Ju Fufu's stat needs are a bit unusual for a stun agent thanks to her core passive, which raises the party's crit damage based on her attack, and the requirements of King of the Summit, if you end up using that set. Attack is the most important stat to focus on, since her core passive is active regardless of which Drive Disc set you use, and then for the sixth slot, you'll want to give her impact some attention. She does still need to stun, after all.

Ju Fufu is the rare case of a ZZZ character who's using her chain attack frequently, so that should be your main priority. Her basic attack and EX Special both get a lot of use, and while her EX Special has the strongest stunning potential, her basic is still excellent for dealing damage.

Zenless Zone Zero Ju Fufu teams

The useful thing about Ju Fufu is that her crit damage buffs make her an easy pick for any team with an attack agent, and if you pair her with a dedicated support unit, you're in very good shape. Some sample teams are:

Other replacements for the support agent include Lucy, Caesar (technically defense, but basically support), and Nicole. All of them raise the party's damage output or debuff the enemy's defense, or both in Caesar's case.

Some players recommend using double stun teams, though how well these work depends on what other stun agents you have. Lighter and Trigger both benefit from being off-field, which gives your main DPS time to attack. Other stun agents – not so much. A support character is a better option that doesn't rely on having a specific premium character.

Soldier 0 Anby is an easy pick for Ju Fufu teams if only thanks to the limited nature of her existing support options as of ZZZ 2.0. However, you can also use Hugo, Soldier 11, Evelyn, Ellen, and even Harumasa benefit from her help.

What tier is Ju Fufu in ZZZ?

Ju Fuu is a spiritual descendent of Lighter, a stun agent who doesn't just stun, but who also supports the rest of the party. She's easy to build, has a free weapon among some of her best choices, and works with any damage dealer – not just fire or ice characters like Lighter. Ju Fufu is one of the best stun agents, though if you have Lighter, Lycaon, or Trigger, not an essential one.
