Hisui Celebration focuses on Hisuian Pokémon, starting with the introduction of Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark in Pokémon Go! During the event, Hisuian Lilligant will also make its first appearance during the Hisuian Lilligant Raid Day, which occurs near the end of the Hisuian Celebration.
Be sure to complete the three Hisui Collection Challenges while you await the start of this Pokémon Go Raid Day event! One of them, the Space-time Distortion Collection Challenge, requires you to catch specific Pokémon during the Space-time Anomalies that appear throughout the Hisui Celebration period.

Space-time Distortion Collection Challenge Pokémon list
The Space-time Distortion Collection Challenge is part of the Hisui Celebration event in Pokémon Go and will remain active until Sunday 13th July at 8pm (local time).
Here are all of the Pokémon included in the Space-time Distortion Collection Challenge and how to encounter them:
- Magnemite - During Space-time Anomalies
- Cyndaquil - During Space-time Anomalies
- Cranidos - During Space-time Anomalies
- Shieldon - During Space-time Anomalies
- Oshawott - During Space-time Anomalies or through a seasonal field research task ('Power up Pokémon 5 times')
- Rowlet - During Space-time Anomalies or through a seasonal field research task ('Power up Pokémon 7 times')
Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust and a Hisuian Avalugg encounter.
Evolution in Flight Collection Challenge Pokémon list
The Evolution in Flight Collection Challenge will be available until Sunday 13th July at 8pm (local time) as part of the Hisui Celebration event in Pokémon Go. Please note that four of the Pokémon listed must be obtained through evolution, otherwise they won’t count toward completing this challenge.
Here are all of the Pokémon in the Evolution in Flight Collection Challenge and how to find or evolve them:
- Starly - Encountered in the wild
- Staravia - Evolve Starly using 25 Starly Candy
- Staraptor - Evolve Staravia using 100 Starly Candy
- Zubat - Encountered in the wild
- Golbat - Evolve Zubat using 25 Zubat Candy
- Crobat - Evolve Golbat using 100 Zubat Candy
Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust and a Hisuian Zoruna encounter.
Shock, Flame and Spike Collection Challenge Pokémon list
Shock, Flame and Spike is the final Collection Challenge released during the Hisui Celebration event in Pokémon Go. Like the previous challenges, it will run until Sunday 13th July at 8pm (local time).
It's important to remember that three of these Pokémon must be obtained via evolution in order to count toward this challenge. Additionally, the requirement for evolving Hisuian Qwilfish into Overqwil has been reduced to only one raid completion. This makes obtaining Overqwil much easier during the Hisui Celebration!
Here are all of the Pokémon in the Shock, Flame and Spike Collection Challenge and how to obtain them:
- Hisuian Voltorb - Found in the wild and available via an event-exclusive research task ('Catch 5 Pokémon')
- Hisuian Electrode - Evolve Hisuian Voltorb using 50 Voltorb Candy
- Hisuian Growlithe - Available through one-star raids, an event-exclusive research task ('Catch 20 Pokémon'), or seasonal research tasks ('Explore 2km' or 'Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms')
- Hisuian Arcanine - Evolve Hisuian Growlithe using 50 Growlithe Candy
- Hisuian Qwilfish - Encountered in the wild, through an event-exclusive research task ('Catch 5 Pokémon'), or a seasonal research task ('Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts')
- Overqwil - Evolve Hisuian Qwilfish after completing one raid and using 50 Qwilfish Candy
Rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust and a Hisuian Zoruna encounter.
Check out the Pokémon Go event and raid schedule for July! The Hisui Celebration is currently underway and has brought Hisuian Zorua with it. You can now battle Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles, but first you need to visit Power Spots to gather Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest. Don’t forget to use Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while searching for rare Pokémon, battling in the Go Battle League, or participating in PokéStop Showcases.
