Making sure your character is at a high level is incredibly important in Persona 5: The Phantom X, as not only are your Personas and Phantom Idols' maximum levels tied to your level, but some story quests also require you to reach a certain level before you can do them.
Reaching certain levels also unlocks better Realm of Repression stages with higher tier rewards, and you can even get free rewards from Shop Marthym's and certain events for hitting a particular level. We'll tell you the best methods to grind experience points so you can progress faster or unlock that new set of rewards.
How To Get Tons Of EXP
One of the central ways of powering up Wonder is by leveling him up, and his level also doubles as your account's level. Each time he levels up, his stats increase, and in addition to that, the level cap for his Personas and the Phantom Idols goes up every ten levels.
Each time Wonder levels up, you'll need more and more EXP, and certain story missions are also gated behind being a specific level due to the fight's difficulty, so it's important to grind for experience points regularly.
Grinding Realm Of Repression
One of the best ways to quickly gain EXP is to go into the Metaverse, complete Realm of Repression stages, and then spend Stamina to open the reward cube at the end of each stage.
Even if you only run enough stages to use up your 240 Max Stamina, that can easily net you between 5,000 and 6,000 EXP, and this number only goes up if you don't mind using Coffee Aid, Coffee Candy, or Meta Jewels to restore your stamina.
Realm Stage Type | Stamina Cost Per Spin | Maximum Spins Available | EXP Gain From Minimum Spins | EXP Gain From Maximum Spins |
---|---|---|---|---|
**Training Materials** | 30 Stamina | 5 | 750 EXP | 3,750 EXP |
**Training Materials (Pursuit Of Honor)** | 20 Stamina | 6 | 500 EXP | 3,000 EXP |
**Persona Seals** | 40 Stamina | 5 | 1,000 EXP | 5,000 EXP |
**Recollections** | 40 Stamina | 2 Per Boss Recollection Per Week | 750 EXP | 1,500 EXP |
**Revelation Card** | 40 Stamina | 5 | 1,000 EXP | 5,000 EXP |
Since Main Story missions will be limited, depending on the game version, grinding the Realm of Repression stages gives you a consistent way to gain large amounts of EXP each day ??????and level up fairly often, in addition to giving you a steady supply of important upgrade materials.
Progressing Through The Main Story
Another great way to get EXP is just by completing objectives in the main storyline. Every major objective you complete as part of a main quest gives a minimum of 2,000 EXP, and there will be several of them throughout each quest.
A single Palace's completion will generally give you at least 10,000 EXP, but you will often end up earning closer to 14,000 EXP, and this is without counting optional battles with Savage Shadows and other minibosses that reward a lot of experience too.
Completing Daily Pass Goals
Another way to get EXP each day is to complete your Daily Pass Goals, which are part of the Phantom Pass that's unlocked by progressing the main story.
Each day, you'll be rewarded for completing up to four tasks from a list of several options, such as just logging into the game or doing a particular Realm of Regression stage.
A single task gives you 20 Meta Jewels, 2,250 EXP Points, a Random Gift Set, and 150 Experience Points towards the Phantom Pass' levels, and completing all four of them gives you 9,000 EXP Points, which is
Reaching Palace Exploration Milestones
Palaces are massive places in the Metaverse, and you can get rewarded for exploring them to the fullest. By going to the Metaverse menu, selecting the Palace you want, and then accessing the Progress tab from the map, you'll come to a list of exploration rewards.
For every ten percent of the palace you explore, which includes tasks like opening chests and defeating special boss battles, you'll receive several rewards:
- A nice 450 EXP.
- 70 Meta Jewels between exploration percentages of ten and 50 percent, then it increases to 150 Meta Jewels for every step after, until you reach 100 percent.
- Training Materials like Thief Compendiums, depending on the step.
- A special reward at 50 percent is usually something for the main character, such as the Five-Star All-In knife from Miyazawa's Palace.
You'll need to start crafting Lockpicks from X, X, and X at the Workbench and bring them with you to unlock any Locked Chests in a Palace.
Getting 100 percent completion will get you a total of 4,500 EXP Points, and each Palace has Exploration Progress, so the first four Palaces' completions will give you a massive 18,000 EXP on top of all the other rewards you'd get from chests and enemies while exploring.
