Android's hidden Developer Options menu, sometimes referred to as "Developer Mode," contains a variety of interesting settings. You can enable wireless ADB, spoof your location, keep the Pixel 5's screen running at 90 Hz constantly, or even force dark mode on apps that don't support it.
However, this menu is hidden by default. Google prefers not to expose it to new users who might accidentally disable critical features or get overwhelmed by the many advanced options available. So, you need to perform a quick action to unlock Developer Options if you're looking to customize your device.

Unlocking Developer Options
To begin, open the Settings app from your app drawer and scroll down to the second-to-last option labeled "About phone." From there, scroll down again and tap the "Build number" entry seven times in rapid succession.
As you tap, you'll see a series of toast notifications appear. After the seventh tap, you’ll be prompted to enter your lock screen PIN or password. Once you do, another notification will confirm that "You are now a developer!"
Once unlocked, return to the Settings app and choose "System" near the bottom of the list. Then, tap "Advanced" to expand additional options. You'll find Developer Options listed as the second-to-last item here.
