How To Remove A Tick

In Peak, you or a teammate might notice a black dot growing larger on your leg, along with continuous poison damage—a clear sign of a tick.

In multiplayer, removing a tick is straightforward. If the tick is feeding, remain still while a teammate approaches and presses E to pull it off. Afterward, apply an antidote, a medkit (which heals four instances of poison damage), or a cure-all to halt the poison effect.

If you're playing alone, tick removal becomes more challenging. To detect one, look down at your leg—you’ll see a small tick feeding on you. Unfortunately, you can’t remove it until it has swollen enough to be grasped. Once it’s large enough, crouch down and press E to remove it.

Removing a tick stops further poison damage, but keep in mind that it won’t heal damage already sustained. You’ll still need to use a consumable item to treat or restore your health.
