However, like many RPGs and roguelikes, not everything is available right away. The Revenant character is locked behind a challenging boss known as the Night Idol, an optional encounter that must be completed alone. Defeating the Night Idol is quite a challenge. How To Begin The Night Idol Fight
To unlock the Night Idol battle, you must buy the Besmirched Idol from the Small Jar Bazaar located in Roundtable Hold. This item becomes available once you've unlocked the Duchess Nightfarer. After purchasing it, start a new session of Roundtable Hold.
Once you're in the area, head to the east wing and turn left. There, you'll find a phantom gazing at a painting on the wall. Interacting with this phantom will begin the Night Idol battle using your current Nightfarer. You’ll have to manage multiple enemies during the fight, so it's best to use characters with ranged attacks or strong survivability. Recommended choices include Recluse, Ironeye, Wylder, and Guardian.
