Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army - Big Tarrasque Boss Fight Guide
Jun 20, 2025 am 06:06 AMYou've already visited Daidouji Manor a few times during the first case of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, but have you explored the basement yet? There's a demon named Big Tarrasque guarding the lower half of the estate, and he won't let you pass without a battle.
Before you can take on Big Tarrasque in Raidou Remastered The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, there are several tasks you must complete, including tracking down a bottle of wine in town and collecting another bottle from somewhere else inside this haunted manor.
How To Find Big Tarrasque
Explore Dark Tsukudo-cho And Return To Daidouji Manor
During the opening chapter of Raidou Remastered The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, Raidou Kuzunoha XIV makes multiple trips to Daidouji Manor. Once you finish your main investigation in Dark Tsukudo-cho and return to the normal world, Gouto will have new information for you when you head back to Daidouji Manor after leaving the Dark Realm.
Upon returning to Daidouji Manor, you'll meet again with the family of the missing child and learn that something cursed is lurking in the basement of Daidouji Manor. This has unsettled not only the household staff but the entire town of Tsukudo-cho. You’ll need to talk to the staff to proceed.
Speak to the maid located on the left side of the first floor, who will tell you that another servant was sent out to buy red wine for Big Tarrasque but hasn’t returned yet. Because of this, Raidou must go looking for her.
But before you leave, head through the left doorway at the back of the entrance hall to find the stairway leading to the basement. Enter the room at the end of that hallway, where Gouto will give you a short tutorial on how to inspect rooms using Raidou’s supernatural abilities to locate hidden objects.
Use the middle book on the bookshelf to reveal a hidden lever, as hinted by clues from the upstairs staff. Then, return upstairs and exit Daidouji Manor. Take the streetcar back into Tsukudo-cho and talk to the maid near Kamishiro-zaka, who stands on the left side of the area.
First, you'll need to read the maid’s mind to uncover what happened while she was trying to get the wine and why she's taking so long. Eventually, she’ll hand over the bottle and ask you to return to the manor in her place. Take the streetcar back with the wine in hand, speak to the staff in the living room, then go upstairs before heading back to the basement.
In the far-right bedroom, use a demon with the Investigate skill, which will help you discover the second bottle needed for this mission. While only one bottle is required to trigger the fight with Big Tarrasque in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, both are necessary to access the deeper part of the basement, so grab it now.
While you're in Daidouji Manor, take some time to explore more thoroughly, since there are numerous Aril Rifts on both floors. You’ll also find various Skill Books, items, and other loot scattered around. Use solo investigations with your demons if needed.
With both bottles secured, return once more to the basement of Daidouji Manor. If necessary, speak to the girl near the entrance. When you're ready—after some grinding and capturing new demons—head to the right of the basement entrance to confront Big Tarrasque and offer him the wine to begin the boss fight.

When you approach Big Tarrasque with the wine in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army, he claims you're his opponent—and the fight begins immediately. After the initial taunts from Big Tarrasque and his demonic allies, Gouto will explain the Special Strike attack.
This ability allows Raidou to unleash Kuzunoha Fury, a devastating move that hits all enemies on the battlefield. However, you must charge the attack first, which you can do by:
- Performing combos in battle as Raidou Kuzunoha, keeping an eye on the hit counter in the top-right corner of your screen. The more consecutive hits you land on enemy demons, the higher your combo score increases.
- Staggering enemies by hitting their weaknesses, giving Raidou a chance to strike them repeatedly with light sword attacks to restore MAG or heavy sword strikes for 150% damage output.
After completing the tutorial, you'll be told how to recharge the Special Strike in different ways. Gouto-Doji will announce its readiness, though he might be easy to miss during intense moments. A shimmering visual effect and a note at the bottom of your screen near your order options will also indicate that it’s ready again.
The first Special Strike is simple to charge—it will already be available at the start of the fight and takes care of the first group of supporting demons. However, you must use Special Strike frequently to deal with the continuous waves of enemies summoned by Big Tarrasque.
For this fight, focus on using Wind Order demons, as they exploit Big Tarrasque's weakness, allowing you to stagger him, break his shields, and deal maximum damage. If you don’t have any stronger Wind Order demons yet, Poltergeist is a solid option since it’s among the first demons you can fuse at the Goumaden.
Still, it’s essential to bring along demons with healing abilities, because both Raidou and Poltergeist will take heavy damage. Skill Order demons are especially useful in major boss fights like this one, since Raidou doesn't carry many healing items unless his demons find them via Passive skills.
Once the battle ends, you’ll need to speak to Big Tarrasque a second time and offer him the second bottle of alcohol to gain access to the rest of the basement in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army.
