Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army - Ichimokuren Boss Battle Guide
Jun 20, 2025 am 06:04 AMYour very first boss fight of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army will be at the end of the adventure into Daidouji Manor, bringing you up against a fatally furious swordsman, Ichimokuren. No answers to the mystery just yet – time for your first boss battle instead!
Going back to Daidouji Manor after returning from the Dark version of Tsukudo-cho will trigger the fight against Ichimokuren in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, so be sure you’re got the strongest demons in your tubes and are ready start getting to the bottom of the Daidouji family mystery.
Ichomokuren Location And Affinities
Once you’ve discovered the secret in the basement at the Daidouji family residence in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you’ll have gone up against the impressively difficult Gashadokuro and its cronies to get back out. It’s a tough fight, so be sure to heal up as needed once you’re finished. You can do this with items or at the Goumaden, accessible via Dragon’s Fount near the basement’s entrance.
Head back to Narumi Detective Agency for a quick chat, then get ready to start going back to Daidouji Manor to try and talk to Kiyoshi Daidouji. Before you go, though, it’s a good idea to prepare for the battle ahead, which you can do by:
- Visiting Kounno-ya to stock up on any items you might need. These are easy ways to ensure Raidou Kuzunoha XIV and his familiars stay in good health and with plenty of MAG to keep laying on the boss. We’d recommend some Medicine and Anti-Dizzy for the fight ahead.
- Heading down into the Goumaden to log any new devils into your Devil Chart before fusing some new, powerful familiars. Pay special attention to Volt Order Demons for this fight, but you’ll be able to begin fusing the first Elemental Order demons around this time as well.
In general, it’s a good idea to ensure you’ve got a bit of every elemental damage available, but you can use an Elemental Order Demon with a Volt Order Demon you’ve got already to try and make a stronger Volt Order demon for the battle ahead.

For this fight, we'd recommend bringing along a powerful Volt Order demon like Raiju, one of the strongest Volt Order demons you'll have access to this early in the game. To hit on the weakness of the support demons that Ichimokuren will rely on to distract and damage you throughout the upcoming battle, a Pyro Order demon like Jack-o'-Lantern or Orthrus, depending on your level, are good choices as well.
Unfortuntely, while Ichimokuren itself nullifies fire magic, it's important to have some on hand, since Ichimokuren will summon support demons in the fight ahead who are hurt almost exclusively by Pyro Order demons.
How To Defeat Ichimokuren
When you get to the Daidouji Manor, you’ll watch a short scene but be prevented from leaving again, so be sure to come prepared. Rasputin doesn’t want Raidou chasing after the fleeing Kiyoshi Daidouji (who has only recently become the Red Cape – more on him in the next chapter), and so he summons the terrifying Ichimokuren into the open foyer of the family home to try and stop your pursuit.
As we mentioned above in the affinity chart for Ichimokuren in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, the demon is weak to electric magic, so be sure to call on your very strongest Volt Order demons for this battle. You can reconfigure your battle setup at any time from the pause menu in the main portion of the game, or, if you didn't do so before the fight starts, you can always call on new demons from Raidou's tubes during the battle. The game will even helpfully highlight which demons are most effective for the current battle, too.
The trick here, though, is that you can’t go straight to attacking Ichimokuren, since the boss is immune to damage while its eye is closed. As soon as the fight begins, Ichimokuren closes its eye to protect itself as it summons two Turdak that you’ll need to handle first.
The Turdak are weak to both Force and Pyro, so bring out any demons that know fire magic and follow up with Raidou’s slew of slick sword moves. Since you can’t attack the main boss right now, have Raidou and his team kill the Turdaks first.
Once you’ve handled the two Turdak, Ichimokuren will open its eye, rendering it able to take damage at long last. Use Volt Order demons while Ichimokuren’s eye is open, which allows you to strike its electric weakness to stagger it, allowing Raidou to follow up with a bevy of blows. Top up your MAG as needed with smaller sword moves, but this is a good time to rely on heavy sword attacks, since Ichimokuren won’t be down for long.
When Ichimokuren closes its eyes again, your window for damage is closed and it summons another pair of Turdak as the next phase of the battle. The battle will progress like this, with you needing to defeat the Turdaks before Ichimokuren opens its eye to become susceptible to damage, until Ichimokuren reaches around a quarter of its remaining HP.
At this point, not only will it summon another pair of Tudak for you to handle, but you’ll also need to contend with the fact that Ichimokuren spends the last quarter of the battle on the offensive as well. Its tentacles are markedly dangerous, since this gives Ichimokuren quite a stellar range on the attack. Tentacle Whip deals physical damage and might inflict Dizzy on Raidou or his familiars, so be mindful of everyone’s statuses.
If you don’t have a demon in the team that knows Patra, a skill able to cure Dizzy for the cost of some of your MAG, you can always keep some Anti-Dizzy in your bag, available from Kounno-ya at all points throughout the game. You'll be up against a slew of status ailments throughout Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, so be sure to chat with the old man to see which healing items he's got in stock - he unlocks new things between chapters, so it's always a good idea to stock up.
When you’re in this final phase of the battle where Ichimokuren is actively attacking instead of defending its eyeball from damage, you’ll then be able to focus on Ichimokuren as the battle comes to a close. You don’t need to finish off the final pair of Turdak if Ichimokuren is getting to be critically low on HP, either – let your demons deal with them while you nimbly avoid the range on Tentacle Whip to get up close, using your Volt Skill to hit the demon’s weakness and whale on it until it goes down.
