Finding Dragon locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom requires a bit of patience. They soar through the skies above Hyrule and also travel through the Depths below, making them difficult to track down. It's best to focus on locating them while they're on the surface since they’re easier to spot and glide onto using your Paraglider.
As with most activities in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you have the freedom to approach tracking and landing on the Dragons however you prefer. We've provided their general locations, approximate flight paths, and tips for safely landing on each Dragon to assist you in your journey.
Before setting out, we highly recommend completing the Regional Phenomena at Rito Village to gain a helpful companion. Also, ensure you have at least two full Stamina wheels and a stockpile of stamina-enhancing meals in your inventory.

Naydra Dragon location and route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Naydra is typically seen flying around Mount Lanayru and East Necluda in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This Ice Dragon can shoot icy projectiles from its mouth, so it’s wise to wear cold-resistant armor and carry cold-resistance meals or elixirs before attempting to land on it.
Naydra's Route
This is the path that Naydra follows across the surface of Hyrule.
- Emerges from Depths at Naydra's Snowfield Chasm south of Mount Lanayru.
- Flies around Mount Lanayru.
- Passes Walnot Mountain.
- Heads toward Hateno Bay.
- Over Ebon Mountain.
- Meda Mountain.
- Above Cliffs of Quince.
- Skims over Bonooru's Stand.
- Travels past Kakariko Village.
- Returns to the Depths at East Hill Chasm east of Kakariko Village.
By exploring these areas and keeping an eye on the sky, you should eventually spot Naydra. If you can't find it, it may already be in the Depths.
Launch sites for landing on Naydra
These are the best spots to launch yourself from when trying to land on Naydra:
- Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower.
- Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.
- Necluda Sky Archipelago.
- South Lanayru Sky Archipelago.
The ideal launch point depends on where Naydra currently is. Choose accordingly and proceed from there.
Farosh Dragon location and route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Farosh is usually found soaring near Lake Hylia and Gerudo Canyon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As a Lightning Dragon, it carries electrical energy, so it’s best to avoid wearing any equipment that conducts electricity. Also, take along shock-resistant meals and elixirs before trying to land on it.
Farosh's Route
Here’s the route Farosh follows across the surface of Hyrule.

There aren’t many launching options in this region, but if you have Tulin and some stamina-enhancing meals, you should manage just fine.
Dinraal Dragon location and route in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Dinrall is commonly seen flying around the Eldin Mountains and Deep Akkala in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This Fire Dragon emits intense heat, so you must equip armor and consume meals or elixirs that boost Flame Guard. Launch sites for landing on Dinraal
- Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower.
- Sokkala Sky Archipelago.
- Top of Death Mountain (Fast Travel to Sitsum Shrine).
- Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.
There are multiple launch points available for this Dragon. The Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower is located near the end of Dinraal's surface path, so if you know it’s still on the surface, head there early to get into position.
