Jun 17, 2025 pm 02:29 PMStarting the Sidon of the Zora in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom requires traveling to a distant part of the map, and there are several preparations we suggest completing before beginning this quest.
Before diving into this specific quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it's wise to invest time in Shrines to gather Lights of Blessing. These will allow you to increase your Stamina and Hearts. While it's possible to complete the quest with the base levels, doing so makes things significantly more difficult.
Weapons aren't a major concern for now since you'll find plenty along the way. With that said, we’ll now guide you through how to start Sidon of the Zora in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Sidon of the Zora quest starting location
To begin Sidon of the Zora in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, travel to the Regional Phenomena located furthest east on your map. We've marked the spot below:
Keep in mind that you must have completed the quest involving Captain Hoz and spoken with Purah at Lookout Landing to make the Regional Phenomena appear on your map before heading out.
We also highly recommend obtaining the Paraglider before embarking on this quest, as there is quite a bit of flying involved.
Once prepared, head to the Regional Phenomena location and you’ll arrive at Zora's Domain! There's also a Mogawak Shrine nearby, which is worth visiting to unlock a Fast Travel point—this will be very useful.
Upon reaching Zora's Domain, cross the main bridge where you’ll see three Zoras near a statue covered in Sludge. Your next step is to clean this statue.
How to complete the Sludge-Covered Statue quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To finish the Sludge-Covered Statue quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you need to rinse the Sludge off the statue using water.
Around Lanayru, you can find many Splash Fruit trees. You can also purchase some from the General Store located to the right of the statue if needed. These fruits burst upon impact and release water. We also found a few near the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in case you run short.
To rinse the Sludge away, equip a Bow and aim at the statue. Press the upward directional button to attach a Splash Fruit to your arrow. Fire the arrow at the statue to wash off the Sludge.
Alternatively, you can use Fuse to attach a Splash Fruit to a melee weapon, but using arrows is quicker and easier.
After cleaning the statue, talk to the Green Zora among the group near the statue. They will introduce themselves as Yona, reveal where Prince Sidon is located, and complete this portion of the quest.
At this point, the Sidon of the Zora quest will officially begin.
Where to find Prince Sidon in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To locate Prince Sidon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, head to Mipha Court at the top of Ploymus Mountain.
Getting there might be a bit challenging, but the path we took was fairly manageable, even with Link’s default heart and stamina levels. We started at the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and followed the route shown on the map below:
As you approach Mipha Court, you’ll notice Zora torches lighting your path.
Once you reach Mipha Court, Prince Sidon will be standing in the center of the fountain. Speak with him to learn what to do next and to begin the next part of the Sidon of the Zora quest.
While at Mipha Court, we strongly recommend completing the Ihen-a Shrine located on the right side of where you find Sidon. This will grant access to a Fast Travel point that will prove invaluable during these quests.
This is just the start of your journey with Prince Sidon—many more adventures await!
