How Do I Obtain The Genius's Legion Plugs?

Since there are two new Legion Arms, you'll also need two Genius's Legion Plugs to activate them. The first one is fairly straightforward—you earn it by defeating the second elephant enemy found in the Krat Zoo area. This particular elephant transforms during the fight, and the plug is awarded upon its defeat. You'll come across this enemy shortly after reaching the Jungle Zone Walkway Stargazer.

The second Genius's Legion Plug is a bit trickier. After defeating the Two-Faced Overseer boss, proceed to the next Stargazer—the Ergo Mining Site Stargazer. Turn right from here and follow the path until you reach a boardwalk circling an arena filled with enemies. Defeat them and continue forward until you arrive at a room with a pool of water.

In the corner of that room, you’ll find a safe containing the Genius Cylinder. However, be prepared to fight off a tough mining robot that bursts from the wall when you attempt to open the safe.

Still, having an extra saw blade on the field is never a bad thing. Icarus works exceptionally well with spears, as it allows you to lure enemies back into the swirling blades if they try to escape.

The Cataclysm Legion Arm

Cataclysm functions like a devastating shotgun. Even before any upgrades, it delivers heavy damage and can easily disrupt enemy attacks when fully charged. As you upgrade it, its effectiveness increases—especially when countering enemy moves. The final upgrade, Perfect Reload, lets you unleash an even stronger blast by timing your shot with the white flash indicator.

Both of these new Legion Arms are highly effective. Early on, I personally leaned toward Cataclysm due to its raw power. However, many early bosses have large hitboxes, making the Icarus Legion Arm ideal for slicing through them with ease. For that reason, investing in Icarus first might give you an edge against challenging fights like the Tyrannical Predator.

Your build may also influence your choice. Icarus offers a more balanced stat scaling, boosting both Motivity and Technique (B Motivity, B Technique), whereas Cataclysm leans heavily on Motivity (A Motivity, C Technique).
