What is Connections?
The NYT's newest daily word game has taken off on social media. According to the Times, associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu played a key role in developing the game and introducing it to the publication’s Games section. Connections can be accessed via web browsers or mobile apps, and the goal is to categorize four words that have something in common.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words, which are divided into four groups. These groupings could relate to anything—such as book titles, software names, country names, and more. While some words may seem like they belong together, there is only one correct grouping.
When a player correctly identifies all four words in a group, those words disappear from the board. An incorrect guess counts as a mistake—players can afford up to four errors before the game ends.

You can also shuffle and reorganize the board to make it easier to find connections. Each category is assigned a color code: yellow is the easiest, followed by green, then blue, and purple being the hardest. Similar to Wordle, you can post your results on social platforms to share with friends.
