Last Epoch's extensive character customization, encompassing classes, masteries, gear, passive points, and skill trees, sets it apart in the ARPG genre. Experimentation is key; organically build your character, discover preferred skills, and explore synergistic combinations.
Prior to Season 2, Class Mastery choices were permanent. Now, thanks to the Season 2 update, changing your Class Mastery is possible, albeit at a cost. Here's how:
How to Change Your Class Mastery
Locate Chronomancer Lerinne, the respec NPC in the End of Time, just south of the waypoint. This is the same NPC used for respeccing Mastery passive points.
Select "Respecialize Mastery" from the dialogue options. A menu will appear displaying your class's other available Masteries. Switching requires a gold payment, scaling with your level and the number of passive points invested in your current Mastery.
The respec process resets all passive points, including those allocated to your base class.
After payment, you'll adopt the new Class Mastery. All passives are reset, allowing for reallocation. Your equipped gear remains, but consider swapping items based on the new Mastery's requirements (e.g., transitioning from Bladedancer to Marksman).
