Today's 'Wordle' #1397 Hints, Clues And Answer For Wednesday, April 16th
Apr 16, 2025 am 11:31 AMDaily Wordle tips, clues and answers are all here!
Today is Wordle #1396 on Tuesday, April 15, so let's first challenge a puzzle:
Kill orcs
A knight, a ranger, a wizard and a priest enter a valley full of orcs for a 6-hour challenge to see who can kill the most orcs.
Every hero has different advantages—and faces his own setbacks in battle. Use logic and mathematics to determine who killed the most orcs and arrange them from more to less.
??Knight
- Kill 10 orcs per hour
- Spend 30 minutes to help an injured servant
- In the second hour, a wandering troll appears, forcing him to hide for 15 minutes
? Roam
- Kill 8 orcs per hour
- It takes 12 minutes per hour to reinstall the bow and collect arrows
- However, his skills are enough to avoid trolls without wasting time
? wizard
- Kill 15 Orcs per hour with powerful magic
- After 3 hours, his spells were exhausted, and he had to fight with his staff, killing 3 orcs every hour
- In the 2nd hour, the troll appears and forces him to hide for 15 minutes
??Pastor
- Kill 6 orcs per hour
- Take a 15-minute prayer break every 2 hours, including the first 15 minutes of the game (i.e. on 0, 2 and 4 hours)
- The troll appears during one of his prayer breaks, so he doesn't lose extra time
Note: The number of orcs killed by each character per hour will be affected by complications that occur. For example, Ranger killed 8 orcs per hour, but he spent 12 minutes per hour to reload the bow down the number.
Also: You can't kill a portion of the orcs, so any total must be rounded downwards. Damage to orcs is not counted as total.
Your mission: Determine how many orcs each character has killed in total. Then, arrange them in order from more to less.
OK, Wordle time is up!

I guessed four times and scored 0 points, and lost to Bot to score -1 point. Bot guessed three times and scored 1 point, defeated me and scored 1 point. This makes our April total score:

How to play competitive Wordle
- Guess 1 time and get 3 points; guess 2 times and get 2 points; guess 3 times and get 1 point; guess 4 times and get 0 points; guess 5 times and get -1 point; guess 6 times and get -2 points; guess wrongly.
- If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you tie, you will get 0 points. If you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add them up to get your score. Keep a running score every day, or just play a new score every day.
- Friday is 2XP, which means your score (positive or negative) doubles.
- You can keep a run total, or just play every day. Enjoy!
Wordle etymology today
The word "moral" (moral) originates from the Latin word moralis , meaning "related to ritual or morality", and itself derived from mos (plural mores ), meaning "customs" or "habits". Cicero used this word to translate the Greek word ēthikos (“ethical”), making the word popular. It enters Middle English through the ancient French moral .
