The Moto S50 is a mid-range smartphone, which will impress with its design, and is now available in China. The buyers can choose one of the three color variants available. The four cameras arranged in a square stand out quite clearly from the rest of the smartphone - in the true sense. The model features the main camera with an IMX896 50MP sensor, plus a macro lens and a telephoto lens. This enables a triple optical zoom, the resolution of the S5K3K1 sensor is 10 megapixels and the front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The screen measures 6.36 inches in diagonal and has a 1,272 x 2,670 pixels resolution. The manufacturer specifies a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness is specified as 3,000 cd/m2, although, as is often the case, this value does not describe the brightness that can be displayed on the entire screen at the same time, but rather the peak brightness that can only be displayed locally when displaying HDR material, for example. According to the manufacturer, the DCI-P3 color space is fully covered and the smartphone is protected from damage by Corning Gorilla Glass. IP68 certification is advertised.
The 4,310 mAh battery can be charged with a charging power of up to 68 watts,while wireless charging is also possible with reduced power and speed. A MediaTek Dimensity 7300SoC is used, 12 GB of RAM is installed in all configurations, and internal memory measures 256 or 512 GB. In China, the Motorola Moto S50 can be ordered now at a price of around 280 euros, information on an international release is not yet available.
